Recreation

CalArts has two tennis courts, a basketball court, a sauna, an outdoor swimming pool, and a fully equipped weight room (available to Chouinard and Ahmanonson Hall residents). Individual and team sports, van trips, and other recreational activities are all sponsored by the Student Affairs Office.

Fall 2008 Recreation Clubs:

The Soccer Club meets every Monday and Friday at 5 p.m. on the Soccer field (next to the Tennis & Basketball courts).

The Dodgeball Club meets on Saturdays at 7 p.m. on the Basketball Court.

Camping Equipment Available

Students with valid CalArts I.D. may on a first come first serve basis borrow camping equipment.  Items available are: tents, camping stoves, lanterns, camping pads, & camping chairs. A check made payable to CalArts covering the cost of the items borrowed is used as a deposit until the items are returned in good condition. Please contact the Activities Coordinator with a 24 hour notice to rent equipment.  Items may be reserved only during the academic year.
