Financial aid

All state and federal funds for education are available to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents only. International students are eligible for institutional funds, but these funds are limited and awarding is very competitive. CalArts Scholarships do not cover a student’s entire tuition. All awards are based on merit. To be considered for CalArts funds, you must complete the International Student Financial Aid Application. You may download the application and get more information on the international students page in the Financial Aid section of this site.

CalArts also advises you to contact your local government agencies for government-sponsored scholarship or grant programs and government educational loans. In addition, you should visit the International Education Financial Aid Web site, a searchable database of scholarships specifically for international students. See iefa.org.
